Oktoberfest kicks off at Mt. Angel

MT. ANGEL, Ore. -- It may seem like summer isn’t over yet but time for Oktoberfest is here.
The four day festival kicks off in Mt. Angel on Thursday, Sept. 11. and runs through Sunday.
The German-American festival hosts over 50 Alpine food chalets serving a wide variety of ethnic foods, a biergarten and weingarten.

There will also be continuous live music on four stages, street dancing an arts and crafts show and more.
Organizers said there will be a free kindergarten and encouraged RVers and campers to stay overnight.
The festival runs 11 a.m.-midnight each day and Sunday from 11-9.
