Jake's Famous Crawfish going to the Dogs

Jake’s Famous Crawfish is hosting their 3rd Annual Dog Day of Summer this Sunday, August 24th, from 3:00pm to 10:00pm.

For $50 you can enjoy a 3-course meal made in one of Portland's finest kitchens, and your beloved dog can sit right at your feet, lapping up his or her very own meal created by Jake’s culinary artists.

Here are the recipes for the doggie dishes scheduled to appear on Sunday’s Dog Day of Summer III menu at Jake’s:

Tuna Poodle Casserole

2 lbs. Ahi and Albacore trim

2 TBS. Olive Oil

2 cups Potatoes

1/2 cup Celery

1/2 cup Carrots

2 TBS. Dill

Cook the tuna well. You can roast in the oven or sauté. Chop and blanch the potatoes, carrots and celery. Combine all ingredients and mix well.

German Shepherd Pie

2 lbs. Lamb Shoulder

1 tsp. Garlic

1 cup diced Carrots

2 cups Rice

1 TBS. Olive Oil

Braise the lamb in water and remove bone. Blanch carrots and garlic. Cook rice in 5 cups of water. Mix all ingredients together well.

That Darn Cat Fish Hash

12 Hard Boiled Eggs

24 oz. Fish Trim (salmon, halibut, rockfish, catfish)

1 cup diced Green Beans

2 TBS. Dill

1 tsp.Olive Oil

Cook fish (we use salmon) in oil. Blanch green beans. Mix all ingredients together well
