Angler Steve Liebental shows off his chinook catch.

It started Friday and will run through July 13.

On the Imnaha, the area is from the mouth of the river to Summit Creek Bridge.

On the Wallowa, it's from the lower end of Minam State Park to the mouth of the Lostine River.

The daily limits are one hatchery adult and five hatchery jacks, the younger fish.

All unmarked salmon caught must be released unharmed.
