The Festival of Balloons in Tigard returns for its 25th year this Father’s Day weekend.

Featured this year are 22 balloons in morning launches Saturday and Sunday from 5:45 to 6:15, with a few launching around 8 a.m. Select ones will be tethered for a Saturday “balloon glow” at dusk.

The festival also features a 23-team barbecue contest, a car show, carnival, a soccer tournament, beer garden and food and craft vendors. Here is a complete schedule.

Admission is $7 at the gate for a weekend pass. Tickets, including those for carnival rides, may also be purchased online. Kids under 6 are free.
