Spa Week is underway in Portland with eleven area spas participating in the event, which officially began on Monday, April 14th and runs through this Sunday, April 20th.

The Spa Week concept began four years ago in New York City and is now celebrated in more than 20 different markets throughout the United States and Canada.

Spa Week was originally designed to make the spa experience more available to the masses, with participating spas providing a few of their signature treatments for a discounted rate of only $50.

Now, the Spa Week mission is not only to offer a more affordable spa experience, but also to educate the public about the health benefits that a spa lifestyle can provide.
