Shred day returns to KGW Northwest Newschannel 8, to help viewers get rid of documents while protect their identities and the environment.

Shred Day runs all day April 18 until 7 p.m.

People can bring documents they want destroyed for free. You can bring up to two boxes or bags of documents to be destroyed on site.

All the paper collected during Shred Day will be recycled. Every 600 pounds that gets recycled equals one tree saved.

KGW Northwest Newschannel 8 is located at the corner of 16th and Jefferson.
