By DREW CARNEY, kgw.com Staff

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm’s annual Tulip Festival officially began nearly two weeks ago, but after a slow start, the flowers are now cooperating, with great colors popping up throughout the farm’s 40+ acres of tulips and daffodils.

Watch Drew Carney's early morning visit to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, OR during the 04/02/08 edition of Newschannel 8 at Sunrise.

This year's Festival will continue on through Sunday, April 20th. In addition to walking the fields, you can also visit the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm’s Gift Shop, where there are fresh cut tulips for sale.

Weekends during the Festival feature even more attractions, including European Sausage courtesy of the Mt. Angel Sausage Company, Wooden Shoe Making demonstrations, pony rides and rubber duckie races for the kids.

The farm is open daily throughout the Festival from 9am to 6pm. It’s absolutely FREE Monday through Friday, and costs only $5 per vehicle on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm is located at 33814 S. Meridian Road in Woodburn, roughly 45 minutes from Portland, and only a 30-minute drive from Salem.
