Wilsonville recognized as a Tree City USA

WILSONVILLE, Ore. -- For the tenth year in a row, the city of Wilsonville has been recognized as a Tree City USA community by the Arbor Day Foundation.
This, for its commitment to the community forestry program including education, land-use planning coordination and wildlife habitat.
The Growth Award recognizes environmental improvement and higher levels of tree care in Tree City USA communities.
Wilsonville has met the four standards to become a Tree City USA community; a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, a comprehensive community forestry program and an Arbor Day observance.
Wilsonville Mayor Charlotte Lehan says they value trees and incorporate trees into all future developments.
