A Tigard woman is a finalist in NBC’s Grease reality show.

If Kathleen Monteleone wins, she'll star in the Broadway production.

Monteleone has already inspired a new generation at the Tigard dance studio where she used to teach. Young girls there told KGW they want to be on Broadway with her.

"I want to be on Broadway! I want to be on Broadway too!" said Ireland Desbiens.

"I want to be just like her!" chimed in Hanna Kelso. Both girls take dance lessons at Westside Dance and Gymnastics Academy.

Many at the studio remember dancing with Monteleone.

She has worked as a teacher at the academy and her former students wear T-shirts supporting her in the show.

Monteleone beat out tens of thousands of others who auditioned for the series.

This week she's among six women vying for the spot of Sandy in the Broadway production of Grease.
