PORTLAND -- The Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon series is coming to Portland.
The Portland Rose Festival announced Tuesday that the popular nationwide running series will add a stop in Portland beginning in 2012.
The inaugural Portland Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon will be run on Sunday, May 20, 2012.
The Rock 'n Roll races have been very successful in cities like Seattle, Phoenix and San Diego.
Portland City Commissioner Randy Leonard predicted the half marathon will be a huge draw to out-of-town folks who could bring tourist revenue to Portland.
