PORTLAND -- Portland's annual Rose Festival kicked off with the opening of City Fair at Waterfront Park.
City Fair opened at 5 p.m. Friday. Admission to City Fair is free but there is a fee for rides and games.
A fireworks show was scheduled for 10 p.m. Friday as part of opening night.
City Fair's new ride MegaDrop is the tallest carnival ride to ever be on the Waterfront. For all you thrill seekers, the ride lifts you 131 feet in the air then drops you within seconds.
The RoZone stage will feature concerts from local and national performers.
