Hundreds of thousands of people lined the 4.2 mile route that started at the Memorial Coliseum and wound through city streets and across the river. Streets on the parade route, along with other streets and some highway on and off-ramps, were closed during the parade.

The weather forecast called for perfect parade-watching conditions. Temperatures are expected to be in the 70s with early clouds and very little rain.

Watching from the streets is always free, but fans wanting an extra up-close view had the option of watching from bleachers set up inside and outside the Memorial Coliseum. Admission there will be $30 for inside reserved seating, $15 at the south end of the indoor area, $30 for outside reserved seating and $25 for reserved bleachers outside.

In the past, it's been popular practice to tape a spot on the sidewalk to "claim" that parade-watching location. But officials warn that it's no longer legal to do so. People were welcome to camp up to 24 hours in advance to hold a preferred spot, but there was no reserving of public property allowed.
