Raptor Cam is a live web cam looking down upon a nest of Red-tail Hawks outside a downtown office building in Portland.

To minimize disturbance of the nest, the location isn't publicly broadcast.

Raptor Cam is made possible through a partnership between KGW and the Audubon Society of Portland.

Raptor Cam premiered in 2007 with a still-image web cam. In 2008, through a generous donation by an anonymous Audubon Society donor, the camera was upgraded to live full-motion video. In 2009, we added a Raptor Cam blog, authored by Bob Sallinger of the Audubon Society, providing frequent updates of the developments in the nest and answering our users' questions.

This year, Raptor Cam features a new Flash-streaming video player that enables users to view the live video feed in full-screen mode.
