Tears flowed Monday at Aloha High School as hundreds of teens watched a video about the life of Rachael Scott.

Scott was the first student killed during the 1999 shooting at Columbine High School in Colorado which left 13 dead.

In the wake of Rachel’s death, her father created a national campaign called 'Rachel’s Challenge'. The campaign is based in part on Rachael's own diaries. She'd written about her dream to start a chain reaction of kindess through out the world.

Now, Portland area kids are getting the chance to learn about Rachel and take her challenge to act with kindess and compassion toward one another.

“It was really moving. It made me realize alot of things,” said a girl with a black ball cap and pink earphones emblazoned with a white skull and crossbones.

Aloha High planned an additional presentation of Rachel’s Challenge Monday, October 17, 2011 at 7pm. The presentation is is free and open to the public.
