Toby, dog of the day

10:48 AM PDT on Thursday, October 9, 2008

TOBY, No. 63705 is the dog of the day from the Oregon Humane Society. Toby is a seven-year-old Lab and Doberman mix Sweet and snuggly!

Toby

Are you looking for a gentle and loyal companion dog?

Meet Toby! Toby's appreciation for his humans is undeniable. He loves to lean in for a good petting. Toby has had a great history with the camp kids here at OHS, but we are recommending a home with children over the age of eight due to his age. This boy would really love a quiet indoor home where he can live out his golden years in peace. Toby's adoption includes a consultation with our behavior staff, as he has had a history of anxiety. With patient training and positive reinforcement, we believe that Toby has great potential to be a well behaved canine companion. He already walks extremely well on the leash. He even leave slack! Toby has had a history with cats, and we have learned that he is not compatible. A home with no kitties will be required. Please don't pass up this warmhearted and devoted boy. Ask the staff for a pet meet today! To make Toby your best friend for life, please call the Oregon Humane Society at (503) 285-7722 or visit OHS at 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland. The adoption fee includes collar, leash, ID tag, ISO microchip, first shots, free vet exam, plenty of information, and for Oregon residents, one month of pet health insurance. All animals at OHS are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. This dog is subject to prior adoption. Visit www.oregonhumane.org for adoption details, hours, location, and photos of all the pets looking for homes.
