I am not excited about the rising gas prices! According to NPR, gas prices are the highest ever for this time of year and are predicted to reach a record $5 a gallon by the start of the summer driving season. Seriously.
Obviously, we are all looking for ways to save at the pump. I really love GasBuddy.com. Thanks to the trip cost calculator, I can manage expenses by mapping out where I will fill up along the trip. I'll just plug in my route, the type of car and presto, I'll know what the drive will cost, plus it will tell me when I will need to fill up and where the cheapest station is located.
When you are in town and it's time to fill up, you definitely want to check out the free GasBuddy app. This is app is available for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry users and it rocks! The gas prices are constantly updated and the app even tells you how far you are from each station. So, if you're the type to search for the lowest price then this the app you need.
Report gas prices in your area and you earn points toward prize giveaways from GasBuddy including the chance to win a $250 gas card each week!
I tweeted about this just yesterday and here is the reply I got from Kum & Go. He mentions Fuelly.com which helps you track and compare your personal car mileage as well.
So, the question is, do you use an app? If so, what do you use and what do you think about it?
