What a great way to start celebrating the 4th! First Baptist Church Tulsa has put together a concert event at the Guthrie Green downtown that sounds like a blast!
Picnic on the Green is Wednesday, July 3rd from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The concert is FREE! Eicher Family and Christian artist Jamie Smith will be performing. FBC will have games and water play for the kids, as well as activities for students.
Just take your chairs, blankets, food, drinks, etc. (Food must already be prepared, no grills or cooking devices are allowed on the property.) Have you tried the yummy Tulsa food trucks around the Green? They will be selling food and drinks as well . . . cash only.
The Guthrie Green is located at 111 E Brady St (Between Boston & Cincinnati). Worried about parking downtown? Ride the FREE Tulsa Trolley to the Guthrie Green from FBC’s "Super Block" between Cincinnati and Detroit Avenues and 4th and 5th streets. The trolley is super-fun, anyway. It will run continuously from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m.
After the concert, stick around for an excellent view of the Tulsa Drillers fireworks show put on at ONEOK Field. They will shoot off the fireworks immediately following the Drillers’ game, around 10:00 p.m.
Happy 4th of July! Enjoy and be safe!
