If you are wanting to pay on this year's Christmas gifts without a credit card, layaway might be a great option for you! More and more stores have brought back layaway this year and I wanted to post the policies so you are aware of what each is offering. Check them out and let us know if you are going to be using layaway this year.

Toys R Us & Babies R Us

  • 20% Deposit
  • $5 Service Fee
  • Must pay within 3 months or the Holiday Cutoff (whichever is sooner)

Best Buy

  • 25% Deposit
  • 5% Service Fee
  • Make a payment every two weeks until your item is paid in full

Kmart

  • Down payment required
  • Biweekly payments required
  • All down payment fees are waived if before 11/17/12

Walmart

  • $10 or 10% down payment (whichever is greater)
  • $5 service fee (refundable when full payment is made)

Sears

  • Down payment required
  • $5 Service fee
  • Payment every two weeks

eLayaway

  • Shop through eLayaway.com and select products
  • Set payment schedule

Marshalls

  • minimum payment of $10 or 10% (whichever is greater)
  • $5 non-refundable fee
     

T.J. Maxx

  • minimum payment of $10 or 10% (whichever is greater)
  • $5 non-refundable fee

Gordman's

  • $50.00 minimum purchase  (maternity and clearance not eligible)
  • 25% down payment
  • $5.00 non-refundable layaway fee

Hallmark

  • Each store has their own layaway terms.
