Personally, I love to drive to our destination instead of flying. First, it's cheaper. Second, it's slightly less scary to me. However, I do not like dealing with a million expensive gas station stops. As if the gas itself was not high enough, but if you are like me, you're out another $20 on snacks. Here are some super cute and creative ways to carry along those snacks and save some cash.

The Snack Shoe Box: I do this with my boys. Grab a shoe box, cover it in a map (so the kids can follow along) and pack it full of healthy snacks and treats. The kids have choices that you have pre-planned and you'll save money.

The Snack Container: This is a cute craft container picked up for only $1 after the 40% off coupon from Hobby Lobby. Now, you have portion control and you decide the snacks for the little ones. Easy and cute! Unless of course your kids knock over the container. That would be a bummer.

The Snack Bags: Each kiddo gets a bag with their own name on it and a map of the destination so they can follow along. This one is great for us since one of my boys has food allergies. Simply label the bags and you're good to go.

See how easy that is? We also travel with a cooler too so we can pack lunches as well...and of course, Diet Coke.
