PORTLAND – With just two shopping days left until Christmas, last-minute shoppers were rushing to stores to buy holiday gifts. To accommodate procrastinators, many stores were keeping their doors open past normal closing time.

Macy’s, Toys R Us and Kohls all pledged to stay open around the clock until Christmas Eve. Kohls planned to shut its doors at 6 p.m. Tuesday, while Toys R Us was waiting to close until 9 p.m.

Many businesses were also offering special last-minute deals. Pioneer Place, Clackamas Town Center and Lloyd Center shops had a variety of special deals for shoppers, with some stores offering discounts of 50 percent or more.

For one-stop local shopping, Portland Saturday Market was also opening on Monday and Tuesday for the Festival of the Last Minute.
