PORTLAND – A 102-year-old Portland woman crossed an item off of her ‘bucket list’ Thursday when she visited a farmers market for the first time in years.
Bernadine Gallucci has lived in the Buckman neighborhood for 80 years. She said she missed the sights, sounds and smells of a farmers market. So a group called New Chapters organized the trip for her.
She said the trip was wonderful and she saw the market as a sign of great progress in her neighborhood.
