SALEM -- Some people in Oregon can now enroll in health insurance online through Oregon's health insurance exchange.
More than four months after it was supposed to launch, Cover Oregon on Tuesday rolled out its online enrollment system to insurance agents and community organizations.
Spokesman Michael Cox says most people, those with less complicated situations, will be able to fill out an application, determine whether they're eligible for financial assistance, choose a plan and enroll in one sitting.
The Cover Oregon staff will process complex applications.
There's no date for fully launching the enrollment system to the general public.
Cover Oregon's website lists insurance agents and community groups certified to use the new online enrollment system.
Individuals or families working along can still submit applications online that will be processed by hand.
