Eating organic may be better for your body, but according to one study it apparently won't help your attitude.
A new article in the Journal of Social Psychological and Personality Science found that organic food makes people act like more of a jerk.
Researchers said they found a strong link between those who say they only buy organic and those who tend to pass moral judgment on others.
As one Seattle shopper told researchers, sometimes when she's at the grocery store she feels like she's in an episode of "Portlandia."
"We found that the organic people judged much harder compared to the control or comfort food groups," says Loyola University assistant professor Kendall Eskine. "On a scale of 1 to 7, the organic people were 5.5, while the controls were about a 5 and the comfort food people were a 4.89."
