PORTLAND – Portland was ranked the second most energy-efficient city in the United States in a new report released Tuesday by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy.

The report ranks 34 of the county’s largest cities based on community initiatives, buildings, public utilities and transportation.

Boston was ranked #1 with New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Austin rounding out the #3 through #6 spots respectively.
