Energy Trust of Oregon is offering free home energy audits as well as a package of free energy-saving devices to qualifying Oregon residents.

The free energy-saving kit includes a low-flow shower head, a faucet aerator, compact florescent light bulbs and a certificate for $50 cash back for recycling an old refrigerator or freezer.

Energy Trust of Oregon is also offering free home energy reviews to qualifying residents. Up to 60 percent of energy used to heat and cool homes can be lost due to leaky ducts, inefficient equipment, poor insulation and air leaks. The free review includes recommendations on how to use less energy.

Eligible for the offers are Oregon customers heating their homes primarily with electricity or natural gas provided by Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural or Cascade Natural Gas; and Washington customers heating their home primarily with gas provided by NW Natural.

Energy Trust of Oregon is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Oregonians benefit from saving energy and tapping renewable resources.
