NEW YORK (AP) -- David Letterman celebrates his 30th anniversary tonight. Not celebrate, exactly. Executive producer Rob Burnett tells the New York Daily News that the milestone will be mentioned, but it won't be "an extravaganza." He says Letterman isn't "super comfortable drawing a lot of attention to himself." Letterman started his late night career on February first, 1982 as host of NBC's "Late Night With David Letterman." He later left NBC for CBS when he didn't get to replace Johnny Carson on the "Tonight Show." He started his current CBS show in August of 1993.
