LONDON (AP) -- The amount of money Paul McCartney made for playing the Olympics opening ceremony won't even buy him lunch. London Olympic organizers say McCartney was paid exactly one British pound -- the equivalent of $1.57. It's believed the other performers, like Arctic Monkeys, Dizzee Rascal and Mike Oldfield, had the same deal. The fee was offered to make the Olympic contracts binding -- but the performers were essentially volunteering their time.
