JA RULE: JAILHOUSE BUDDIES
NEW YORK (AP) -- Ja Rule is making some close friends while behind bars -- and no, we aren't talking about THAT kind of jailhouse relationship. The rapper says while serving his sentence in New York State, he has had the chance to hang out some with two guys who used to have high-powered gigs. He tells the Daily News, he has been getting advice from former New York State Comptroller Alan Hevesi and ex-Tyco International CEO Dennis Kozlowski. Both men are serving time along with Ja Rule at the Mid-State Correctional Facility in Oneida (oh-NY'-dah), New York. Ja Rule himself is in for two years on a gun possession case. He tells the Daily News in the outside world, he wouldn't meet guys like that every day. Ja Rule is a high school dropout -- and says both men have urged him to pursue higher education, advice the rap star says he will follow.
