NEW YORK (AP) -- Madonna's Raising Malawi charity is ready to start building schools in Malawi, but there's a change in plans of who will run them. Raising Malawi will give $300,000 to the non-governmental organization buildOn to develop the schools for boys and girls. Raising Malawi originally wanted to build schools just for girls. It ran into problems with land titles and other obstacles. Organizers say they will break ground on the first school on March 30. BuildOn has already built more than 50 schools in Malawi and will concentrate on making them community projects. Madonna has adopted two children from Malawi.
