SWANSEA, S.C. (AP) — The state health department is partnering with Lexington Medical Center to vaccinate people against the flu.

On Thursday, officials from the hospital and the Department of Health and Environmental Control are scheduled to give flu shots and the flu vaccine mist at the Lexington County Public Library's Swansea branch.

A charge may apply, depending on someone's insurance status and the ability to pay. People covered by Medicare or Medicaid should bring their card with them.
