PORTLAND -- A local nonprofit group called Fences for Fido honored KGW News Anchor Tracy Barry Thursday night.
Fences for Fido is a group of volunteers who use donated materials to build fences for dog owners, so the animals don’t have to be chained up. It started with a handful of people in 2009.
After Tracy did a story on the group, demand for its services exploded.
Hundreds of dogs have been unchained over the past three years.
