CRANSTON, R.I. – A video of a newscast in Cranston, R.I. is going viral after a reporter expressively demonstrated tips on what to do during a bear attack.

The video shows Julie Tremmel, a reporter from the NBC-affiliate news station in Cranston, explaining what to do if a bear is encountered in the wild.

“You should avoid eye contact with the bear,” Tremmel says while rapidly moving her eyes back and forth.

Tremmel waves her arms about “to let the animal know you’re human” while standing in a grassy field in the dark.

She then throws her shoes at the camera before curling up into the fetal position in the grass.
