SEATTLE -- Seattle police say a man left a pig wearing sweatpants and a small dog locked inside a hot car during the sweltering weekend heat.
Police said Tuesday the car's owner was at a nearby bar in the Magnolia neighborhood on Saturday night when the officers eventually found him.
Officers arrived at the scene when a resident called 911 after noticing the animals. The caller had opened the car's door to cool it down. Police say it was 86 degrees even at 9 p.m.
Inside the car was stained with feces and had empty food and water bowls.
The animals were released with their owner. Seattle police turned the case over to Renton Animal Control because the animals live outside of Seattle.
