PORTLAND – A group in San Francisco created a political action committee for dog owners because that city actually has more dog owners than parents with children.

The dog owners thought they might have enough political clout to swing the upcoming mayoral race and to push their favorite issue – adding more dog parks.

There was proof that the dog-PAC had some pull, too. Several of the mayoral candidates showed up at the PAC’s forum over the weekend.
