PORTLAND, Ore. -- Know a guy around town who's pure eye candy? Editors at Cosmopolitan magazine will pay for an introduction.

The popular women's mass-market lifestyle glossy is launching a national contest to pinpoint the most eligible, edible and available bachelors in the U.S.

Criteria emphasize the "edible" part, according to a press release from the magazine's public relations agency. Bachelors who might  not be considered Cosmo centerfold material probably would not win, since the finalists will be a full-featured and promotional issue.

Questions lean toward the heterosexually inclined.

One single man will win $10,000, a wardrobe from the clothing company Express Men, and the infamy of being crowned the American Bachelor of 2010.

Cosmo said previous winners include VH1 hosts and reality television contestants, including for ABC's water-cooler talker "The Bachelor."

Read more about the contest, rules, prizes and unspeakable fame and glory Cosmo promises to one lucky Oregon man - if he can out-hunk 49 other state finalists.
