Father's Day is Sunday, June 15th, which means time is running out for you to buy Dad a present.
But a new study says, you probably haven't shopped for that gift yet.
The Father's Day Shoppers Trend Report, done in part by RetailMeNot, found that fewer of us buy presents for Father's Day than we do for Mother's Day.
The study found these facts, which show we might need to give Pops a little more attention this Father's Day:
- 86% of us buy gifts for Mom, but only 77% buy presents for Dad
- 20% admitted they are more creative with gifts for their mom than their dad
- 11% admitted to forgetting to wish their dad a happy Father's Day
- 20% said they think it's acceptable to send an email or text instead
So if you are going to get Dad a gift, what should you get him?
The survey said dads are sick of ties and home improvement items, like tools. Instead, dads surveyed said they're mostly hoping for gift cards 20% said they just want some quality time with their kids. And 50% of dads surveyed said they are also interested in technology.
