PORTLAND, Ore. -- Corgis owned The Pearl and surrounding streets for two hours Saturday morning.

More than 100 Corgis and their owners met up at 10 a.m. for the 3rd Annual Corgi Walk in the Pearl.  The walk stretched around several popular blocks of the Pearl District, including through Jamison Square, where several dogs stopped to cool down in the fountain.

Their owners paid a $25 registration as a fundraiser for the Dove Lewis animal hospital and for Corgi Rescue.  At last count, more than $4,600 was raised for both organizations.

"Each year the walk has gotten larger and that delights me because two organizations benefit from the parade of our Corgis," said event organizer Dr. Lynde Paule.
