PORTLAND -- The 24th Annual Oregon Brewers Festival started in downtown Portland Thursday and was expected to draw 80,000 people through Sunday evening.
The festival kicked off Thursday with a "parade of beer lovers" marching to Tom McCall Waterfront Park for opening ceremonies, organizer Chris Crabb said.
Nearly 140 craft beers from 85 different breweries, many made specifically for the festival, will be available, Crabb said.
There will also be live music, food, demonstrations, and a root beer garden for minors and designated drivers.
