Portland's Holiday Ale Festival begins at Pioneer Square

PORTLAND, Ore. — It’s the most wonderful time of the year for winter beer lovers, as the 22nd annual Holiday Ale Festival hits Pioneer Courthouse Square, starting Wednesday.

It’s Portland's only outdoor winter beer festival (which is both tented and heated), and features 55 craft beers, ciders and meads in the main lineup, all of which are made or blended specifically for the event.

The festival will also feature a number of Meet the Brewer events, dozens of specialty and rare beer tappings, cheese and beer pairings, and food vendors.

The event is for ages 21 and over.

When: Wednesday through Sunday

  • Wednesday through Saturday: 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Where: Pioneer Courthouse Square, 701 Southwest 6th Avenue
