PORTLAND, Ore. -- A small plane veered off a runway at PDX airport Tuesday.

The pilot of the Beech Aircraft was traveling down the runway in preparation for takeoff when a nose gear issue caused him to go into the grass area near the runway, Steve Johnson, with Port of Portland/Portland International Airport, said.

Two people were on board and there were no serious injuries.

No air travel on the other runways was affected.
