PORTLAND – Portland Mayor Sam Adams took an indirect swipe at Boston’s Sam Adams in a feisty tweet about the location for a TV reality cooking series.
The Boston Business Journal reported Boston was being considered – along with Portland – for the setting of Top Chef season 10. Show officials have not confirmed the information.
But that didn’t stop notorious Tweeter Mayor Adams from posting on Thursday:
“Portland vs. Boston!? Baked Beans, Bulkie Rolls & watery beer!? That's our competition!? Game on!”
It was unclear if he was referring to the unrelated Sam Adams beer, brewed in Boston. Top Chef is currently filming season nine in Texas.
