RAINIER, Ore. -- Police serving a warrant Thursday called in SWAT teams as the subject barricaded himself in a Columbia County home.
It happened at the Price Road Trailer Park, on the the old highway between Rainier and Clatskanie, a place deputies said was known for crime.
Greg Richard Wilson, 49, was wanted on attempted murder , assault and weapons charges.
Deputies said they went to arrest Wilson at the home Thursday morning but he refused to come out.
Agents had to deploy a chemical agent in the home and Wilson soon came out afterwards.
Police said on November 28 of last year, Wilson and a juvenile suspect tried to murder 29-year-old William Temple of St. Helens.
Temple had been shot and was taken to the hospital. He eventually recovered from his injuries.
The teenage suspect was arrested, but Wilson remained at large until Thursday.
