SEASIDE, Ore. - A soccer coach from Seaside High School has been arrested and accused of child sex abuse, a newspaper reported.
Jonathan Curtis Broderick, 58, of Cannon Beach, was arrested January 19 on charges of official misconduct and third-degree sex abuse, according Clatsop County Jail records.
The Seaside Signal reported that Broderick was a teacher and soccer coach at the high school, and the victim was a 17-year-old female student.
The newspaper also reported that the investigation began earlier in the week, after the victim told her mother about the abuse.
Seaside Police were unavailable for comment.
