PORTLAND -- Police said they have found the owner of a bronze sculpture of an otter, similar to one at a public art display at the Oregon Zoo.
The sea otter sculpture was recovered during a burglary investigation.
Sculptor Mark Kooy, who created the similar one at the Oregon Zoo, had the sculpture stolen in a burglary last year. Police said they had a misspelling of his name - Coy - and that led to their inability to find him.
Investigators were arranging to have the statue returned.
The otter is about three feet long and weighs about 55 pounds.
