PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Portland police arrested a 30-year-old man accused of stealing a patrol car on Christmas Eve.
Police say the car was taken while officers responded to a fight involving roughly 20 homeless people.
The thief crashed the car in a parking lot a few minutes later.
Dorian Day was booked into the downtown Multnomah County jail on charges of reckless driving, hit and run, criminal mischief, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving under the influence.
