PORTLAND -- A rally and march in downtown Portland condemned any future United States military conflict with Iran.
The rally started a Shemanski Park, at SW Park Avenue and SW Salmon Street, organizers said.
"We the people of Occupy Portland condemn any act or form of violence," read a statement released by the Portland Alliance. "We believe that any problem can be resolved in a peaceful way, and we are against any future conflict against the nation of Iran."
Portland police said a march and bike swarm were permitted from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. The group was expected to move west on Salmon to SW 4th Avenue, then north to W Burnside, west to SW Broadway, south to Salmon, and then end at Shemanski Park.
