LAKE OSWEGO -- Police arrested two teens in connection with a vandalism spree in which buildings were tagged with graffiti and car tires slashed.
Police said two Lake Oswego 16-year-olds were arrested Monday and claimed responsibility for the damage. They were taken to the Donald E. Long Juvenile Center in Portland. Felony accusations of numerous counts of first-degree felony mischief were pending, police said.
Sometime overnight Sunday, a home near 5th and Cabana Lane was damaged with graffiti as well as the Forest Hills Elementary School, police said. At least 20 cars also had their tires slashed and someone had spray painted doors and windows.
Last week, nearly 100 cars had windows smashed out in Lake Oswego and Southwest Portland.
