COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. -- A man was shot and killed during a Cottage Grove home invasion Friday night, police said.
Just before 9 p.m. deputies responded to the 911 report of a shooting in the 72000 block of London Road, according to Capt. Bill Thompson of the Lane County Sheriff's Office.
"Initial investigation suggests that two unknown individuals entered the residence and confronted 38-year-old Terry Fruichantie," Thompson said. "After a brief altercation, one of the subjects shot Fruichantie before both subjects fled."
Fruichantie was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests were made, but detectives interviewing a number of people, some of whom were in the home when the shooting took place.
The investigation was continuing.
