CORBETT, Ore. -- A fisherman found a man's body on the bank of the Sandy River Sunday afternoon, police said.
He was identified Tuesday as Leslie Charles Armstrong, 54.
Police were called at about 3 p.m. to a report of a body found on the east bank of the river, off of Jordan Road in Corbett, according to Lt. Steve Alexander of the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.
Responding deputies recovered the body of an adult male.
The cause of death was asphyxia by drowning, according to the state medical examiner. There were no signs of foul play.
