LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Police said a 70-year-old Kelso, Wash. man crashed his speeding vehicle into a Nevada casino Wednesday, killing two people and injuring at least seven others.

Walter McGie told investigators he fainted before his 2007 Pontiac Vibe crashed into the Edgewater Hotel & Casino Wednesday in Laughlin, Nevada. He suffered minor injuries.

McGie was jailed Wednesday morning and then freed on $6,000 bail that night, pending arraignment on felony charges.

A Laughlin Justice Court clerk said that McGie was due for arraignment March 11 on two charges of reckless driving causing death. Each charge carries a possible sentence of one- to six years in state prison.

The resort town of Laughlin is located about 100 miles south of Las Vegas.
